Many faces we recognize from previous years and we have meet many new quilters & sewers. It is wonderful to see so many people enjoying our wonderful hobby and hear about their passion for quilting. It is especially fun to see the fabrics that they are choosing for their quilting projects. I just love seeing their fabric choices.

Civil War Club 9/9/11
Thank you Karen Housner for such a special treat, the antique quilts you shared with the Civil War group were absolutely wonderful. The quilts dated from 1850 to 1930/1940. The creativity of the quiltmakers from the 19th century was truly amazing. Considering how these quilts must have been constructed, the hexagon quilt with it's fabulous design. It is sad that the person who
constructed this work of art is totally unknown.Several of the club members brought their antique quilt treasures. It was interesting to hear some of the quilts stories. Thank you ladies for sharing your quilts with the group.

End of a Busy Week
This week has been busy, all 100 bolts of new fabric have been loaded into the computer & are out on the shelves.
New fabrics include:
Buttons and Blooms by Whimsicals from Red Rooster: Here is just a glimpse of the cute panel & one of the coordinating prints.

Here is the link to check out the Buttons & Blooms book; the cut projects made using this fabric line. The book will be available in the shop very soon.
Indian Summer from Riley Blake Designs:
These are just a few of these very fun prints in the Indian Summer line. We have pre-cuts; Layer cakes (10 inch squares), charms (5 inch squares), & Jelly rolls.
Batiks are full & the array of colors are beautiful. I just can't get enough of these fabulous fabrics. I have become totally addicted to them.
Sorry there are just too many to post pictures of; we have 3 new batik roll-ups (40-2 1/2" strips) in purple, fall colors, & rich jewel-tones all from Robert Kaufman fabrics. That just means you have to come in & see these for yourself.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Until next time, have a great weekend & enjoy some time quilting.
