Blog Break is OVER!

I must confess I have been taking a break from the blog. There is a new format so I get frustrated & quit. So tonight I'm diving in & hopefully this post will flow OK. If not.. then practice, practice, practice.

The blog may be lacking activity but we have been busy in the shop!

We have been making new samples, re-arranging samples, and moving fabric around to make room for deliveries. 

New fabrics, books, and patterns have been delivered by UPS, FedEx, and even received some fun things in the mail.

April CLASSES: 

Beaded Butterfly: Friday April 27th 

                     Using the Butterfly motif from Laurel Burch new collection. A variety of bead embroidery techniques will be added to the butterfly.

Machine Quilting Free Motion Basics: Saturday April 28th 

                     This class will focus on free-motion quilting on your home sewing machine using a darning foot with lowered feed dogs. You will learn how to get a consistent stitch length, mark patterns, practice easy designs, backgrounds and borders.

Intro to Fusible Machine Applique': Monday April 30th 

                     This beginner’s class will teach techniques for fusible machine appliqué, including tools, supplies, shape preparation, and stitching.

I can't promise but will try to blog more frequently. 

I will be going to Quilt Market in Kansas City in May to check out what's new! I'm sure I will have lots to report when I get back.

Meet & Greet the Teachers

The teachers have planned another great selection of classes for March, April, & May.

We are having a meet & greet the teachers time this

Saturday February 11th from 10am - 12pm. (ONLY)

Many of the teachers will be available to answer any questions you might have about their class(es).

All the samples will be displayed for you to view & choose from.

We have projects of all sizes and skill level. The teachers have planned something for everyone.

We are again offering a 10% discount for registering (payment in full) during this scheduled time and when you register it entitles you to a 15% discount on the required class supplies. You don't have to purchase your supplies during registration time. Your supply list will have a special stamp that you need to present when shopping for your supplies.

Haven't blogged in several weeks, so thought I'd just update you on a few things that have been going on.

First I'm trying to get the Spring classes all scheduled, it has been a bit more difficult to get the classes & teachers schedules all coordinated. Not sure why that is, but I've got to get it together.

Again, the teachers have given me a lot to get scheduled. Several classes this past quarter have filled & I'm trying to get those re-scheduled. I will be doing a "happy dance" when this schedule is done.

Many of you have requested the Blackberry Sherbet pattern. It is that beautiful quilt hanging behind our register. I recently got an update that the pattern rights have been sold & the pattern is now at the printer. So we should have it by February 6th, just in time for the first class.

We have been busy unpacking boxes: Collections we received are from:

Riley Blake the cutest little boy collection called Scoot, a great Aqua & Pink floral collection Dainty Blossom, lots of new batiks from Hoffman of California & Bali fabrics.

We just opened a box this afternoon from Robert Kaufman; another Dr. Seuss collection; The Lorax arrived. I'll be getting those bolts into inventory & out onto the floor quickly.

Well back to the class calendars. Guess I can't procrastinate any longer.
