Spent the weekend in California with family.
A short vacation that started out with a VERY early morning road trip.
Stopped in El Cajon at Cozy Quilt Shop; did a bit of shopping for the store. I purchased a few of their patterns for 2 1/2" strips & a few that use their cutting corners ruler. Sharren & Janice gave me a full tour of the retail shop & their on-line facility. All I can say is WOW!. Daniella Stout, the owner is doing a fantastic job with designing patterns.
Friday night our son, daughter-in-law & grandchildren joined us for two days at Legoland. It was a very fun experience, this was the first time our grandchildren have been to an amusement park! The lego displays are totally amazing. What one can do with those tiny little blocks.
Then Monday we spent a very short time at Huntington Beach watched some surfers then into the car for the drive home. I spent that time doing some embroidery & unsewning 36 blocks.
It was a perfect time to get those pesky blocks taken apart!
Tonight I'm packing for our annual staff quilt retreat at Breath of Life Retreat in Pine. We leave right after work Thursday evening.
The shop will be closed Friday & Saturday: June 8th & 9th.
I'll try to blog or facebook while we are gone, just to give you a peek at what we will be up to.
So have a great week & Happy Quilting..
