New Arrivals & Classes

The past 2 weeks UPS & FedEx have been dropping off boxes filled with wonderful fabrics and notions. We just got in this great little iron from Prym that's perfect for taking to class or on your next retreat. It's has 3 heat settings & 4 handle positions. It's also wonderful for P3 applique prep when you need to get those small curves pressed. We are restocked on our Transfer-Eze for those of you doing your embroidery/red-work. Lorene is proud of me; as I just started an embroidery project: a cute angel from Bird Brain Designs. It's actually quite relaxing in the evening to do a bit of hand stitching after a long day at the shop. Once it's finished I'll have it in the shop to share with you.
Dragonfly Summer from Holly Taylor in the signature colors of beautiful green, soft purple & cream. These have been in the store less than a week & already bolts are being emptied. It's a perfect collection for summer.
Toasty by Jo Morton are perfect medium shades that will be great as backgrounds when you just don't want to achieve that subtle shading.
Civil War Reunion from Barbara Brackman (1/2 the collection) arrived yesterday & we have it out on the shelf ready for your next reproduction project.
Batiks from Hoffman, Princess Mirah & Lunn Studio batiks are here & have are already flying out the door. You have got to see these beautiful fabrics.
Asisan Legacy Roll-ups (40- 2 1/2" Strips) came Thursday & are a collection in beautiful soft colors; that will make any project fabulous.
Scrap-Basket Surprises & Scrap-Basket Sensation are both back in stock. These books have many projects using those 2 1/2" strips.
Classes
The Fortune cookie Bag taught by Mardi Norwood is a great looking small bag that uses a couple fat quarters & some large cording covered with fabric. Space is available for the class this Wednesday March 30th 10a - 1p.
Count On It quilt block is from Nancy Halverson's new book Count on It. These small blocks are a cute way to decorate each month without going to a lot of work. Each project uses the fusible machine applique technique. Sandy Davis will be teaching the May block; Class is Saturday April 2nd from 10am - 2pm.
Check out the website for additional classes that are being offered in April. Don't miss out on learning a new technique or tuning up on a skill that you haven't used in a while. Classes are also a wonderful time to meet & socialize with others.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
