Updates

What a busy past few weeks:
Scheduling the Fall classes, writing up the schedule, updating the website, posting pictures.....
I can officially announce that it's DONE!
The teachers again have prepared a calendar full of basic classes, fun projects, new techniques, and new clubs.
The classes with descriptions and photos of the projects can be viewed on the website: http://www.aquiltersoasis.com/classes.htm
Tonight I decided that the blog needed a face lift.  It was difficult to decide which layout and design to go with. I had to play around with color, background, text. The actual design didn't take long, it was the style of text and the color that took me hours. Just like designing and choosing a quilt pattern and then the fabrics for it.

New fabrics: As usual the UPS and FEDEX drivers have been making daily deliveries to us.

We have lots and lots of new batiks from Robert Kaufman, Timeless Treasures, and Hoffman. Fabulous, beautiful prints. I just can get enough of these wonderful fabrics.

Just in from Riley Blake Designs
Pieces of Hope a collection designed to raise awareness of Autism.
The company is donating a large portion from the sales to Autism Speaks.
Not only is this fabric adorable but it also is providing funds for education and research of autism.

2012 Shop Hop
Passports are selling fast! What a great response we have had, thanks to everyone that has purchased your passports early. It really helps us prepare.
We are looking forward to sharing with you our demo product, seeing folks that only visit us during this crazy, fun time.

Just a reminder that shop will be CLOSED Saturday September 1st - Monday September 3rd in Observance of Labor Day.
I'm off to visit my son, daughter in law, and two grandchildren in California. I'm looking forward to relaxing a bit but most of all playing with the kids.
Have a safe and fun holiday weekend.

Until next time Happy Stitching
